Lois Elaine Knutson

April 26, 1933 — February 27, 2022

Lois, age 88, passed away at home surrounded by her family.

Lois was born in Burns, Oregon. Her dad worked as a telegraph agent for the railroad and she moved around as a child. She ended up in Wendell, Idaho, where she went to school, and met and married Dan Knutson November 9, 1951; later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple in 1977.  They settled down in Salt Lake City, Utah and raised a family.

Lois made friends easily. She was everyone’s favorite. She enjoyed her time spent as the treasurer of Teamsters’ Retiree. She belonged to the 33’rs club where she traveled to many states to meet up with other members; most recent of which was traveling to Iowa by train with her daughter, Lori.

Her quick wit and range of humor will be remembered and missed by many.

Survived by son Clif (Cindy) Knutson; daughter Lori Schindler; 2 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband, Dan; and 4 siblings.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, 12:00 p.m. at the Taylorsville Gardens Ward building, 1900 W. Mantle Avenue, where a viewing will precede services from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park. Luncheon at the church to follow services.
