Linda Lee Gold

Linda Lee Nielson Gold, 81, passed away on January 26, 2026, in West Valley City, Utah. She was born August 25th 1944 in Fillmore Utah to Mervyn and Dortha Larsen Nielsen.

Linda grew up in Fillmore and graduated from Millard High School. After high school, she moved to Salt Lake City, where she attended beauty school and made lifelong friends. While visiting Fillmore, she met the love of her life, John Roy Gold, after being introduced by her mother. They were married on June 10, 1967, and together built a beautiful life centered on love and family.

She loved cheering on the Utah Jazz and the Denver Broncos and watching sports with her sons and grandchildren. Linda was a good sport, even when her boys teased her for mispronouncing words - especially the names of sports figures, a family joke that brought endless laughter.

Above all else, Linda loved her family. She worked at Hillsdale Elementary School to help support them, but her greatest work was the love and care she gave to those around her. Some of her most treasured memories included a family trip to Disneyland, visiting Grandma Gold in Colorado, spending time with her best friend (sister) and spending countless hours watching her grandchildren dance, sing, and participate in sports.

Linda enjoyed "bumming around" with friends, crafting and creating beautiful projects. She was especially skilled in crocheting, Bunka embroidery, and diamond painting. Her home was a gathering place filled with conversation, laughter, and plenty of treats. Linda was known for her generosity - freely giving her love, time, money, and whatever else she had to offer.

Linda is survived by sister, Merilyn Roberts; Sons: Toby (Christina Gold); John Travis( Cody Gold). Grandkids: Ethan (Aubrie) Gold; Aidan Gold, Zachary Gold, Lexy Gold & Landry Gold: Great granddaughter, Emeri Gold; Step-granddaughters: Candise (Chance) Rowsell: Madison Orchard. Step-great grandchildren: Katelynn, Kolton, Khloe.

Linda is preceded in death by her husband, John Roy Gold & parents, Mervyn Nielson, Dortha Larsen.

A graveside service for Linda Gold will be held on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 West 4100 South, West Valley, Utah.
