Leslie M. SeelyOn February 13, 2026, Les "Tuff" Seely passed away peacefully at his home in Taylorsville, Utah. Born on August 5, 1936, in Mount Pleasant, Utah, to George Seely and Priscilla Menzies.
Les lived a life defined by loyalty, hard work, and deep love for the people around him. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and a beloved member of his community.After proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps, Les built a long and respected career as a welder for General Electric. Known for his strength and skill, he carried the same dedication into every part of his life.
Les was an avid basketball player -- famous among family and friends for having the best hook shot in the game -- and a passionate outdoorsman. Many cherished memories were made on mountainsides, along old fishing holes, and around glowing campfires. His stories, laughter, and steady presence shaped generations.Les is survived by his son, Chad; daughters-in-law Karen and Julie; his grandchildren, Sherri, her husband Josh, and Layne, his wife Brandy; and his great-grandchildren Jaxson, EmmaRae, Seth and Alex, all of whom carry pieces of his legacy forward.After 89 years of a life well-lived and a heart well-shared, Les is now reunited with his late wife of 65 years, ZellRae; his son, Gabe; and his parents and siblings who passed before him.The viewing will be held at McDougal Funeral Home, Monday, February 23, 2026, at 9:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Taylorsville Cemetery.
