Leslie Michele Huff

July 13, 1962 — April 21, 2020

Leslie Michele Huff, 57, of Riverton, Utah passed away April 22, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. Leslie was born July 13, 1962 to Bert “Clyde” and Doris Buckley. Leslie graduated from Granger High School in 1980. She graduated from cosmetology school and continued to work cutting hair in her home during the early years of her marriage.

Leslie married Glen F. Huff in the Jordan River Temple on July 22, 1988 and they had three children: Andria Nicole, Trevor Jordan, and Alexa Paige

Their first daughter, Andria, was born while Glen was taking pre-med classes, and Trevor was born while Glen was in Med school. Leslie was supportive of Glen through all the long years of med school and residencies, even though they spent years far away from family and friends. Of course, they just made more friends wherever they went. They later decided they needed more children to love and adopted Alexa. She was very proud of her children and all of their accomplishments

She loved everything Disney, and their numerous family vacations were usually Disney related.  Even their trips to Hawaii were often spent at a Disney resort. The loved movies and true crime dramas on t.v.

She was always thinking of others. Even as the wife of a physician, she never forgot her humble beginnings. She spearheaded a sub for Santa program in their Logan neighborhood, convincing her neighbors that they should give to those less fortunate, rather than exchanging extravagant neighbor gifts at Christmas.

She loved shopping, but not for herself, always for other people, she could spot a sale from miles away and was careful with her money so she would have more to give.  She loved to give gifts, even in her last months she was thinking of others and wanted to give the perfect gifts.  She may have single handedly bolstered the economy of Cache Valley and every other community where they settled.

She loved eating Glen’s cooking, but she loved baking the desserts. Her cookies could have come from a bakery. She specialized in homemade Oreos and pumpkin chocolate chip. She also loved pumpkin pie and cheesecake, and pumpkin cheesecake was the best. She, like all of us had her favorite foods; she loved a good steak, but ever hamburger, Loved Chick-fil-a sandwiches, but no pickles, also their waffle fries, she always needed chips with her sandwich, preferably Ruffles, but no icky vegetables. Most of all she loved her diet coke!

She never met a craft store she didn’t like, and with good reason. She loved to scrapbook, draw, paint, sew and cross stitch, make baby blankets, and diamond dot paintings kept her busy for hours. Even with all of her many crafts she kept her house immaculately clean and well organized.

Leslie loved holidays, especially Christmas, and had knack for decorating for all of them, did we mention she enjoyed crafting? Even if it was just general seasonal décor, there was always something on the mantle and in the entryway with a wreath on the door. She loved going to the Festival of Trees to see Gingerbread houses and Christmas trees. There was nothing like going to their house for a gingerbread-decorating party! Leslie was a bit confused by her kid’s creations, but laughed with them. She loved family parties and instigated many neighborhood gatherings.  She loved having a house big enough to fill with friends and family.

She loved the church and especially the primary children.  Her favorite calling was working in the nursery.  She loved babies and children and always gave them extra attention. And clothes. Did we mention she loved shopping?

Leslie is survived by her loving husband, Glen; 3, children, Andria, Trevor, and Alexa; Brother Stacey (Gaylene) Buckley; and 13 Nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Bert “Clyde” and Doris Buckley.

A special thank to her friends and family members who showed kindness and support during her illness.
