Leah Sorensen Beckstrom

Leah Sorensen Beckstrom Returned Home Leah Sorensen Beckstrom, age 77, passed away on April 29, 2011. Born January 19, 1934 in Centerfield, Utah to LeVoy and Thella Brown Sorensen. Married Bernard D. Beckstrom on March 6, 1953 in the Manti Temple. Served a family history mission, along with many other positions in the LDS Church. Enjoyed gardening, canning and serving others. She was devoted to her family and loved the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survived by her children: Rodney B. (Jan), Blake D. (Gae), Julie Ann (Mark) Allred and Jeffery Alan; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Darwin L. (Joanne) Sorensen; sisters, Verna Kofford, Yvonne Funk. Preceded in death by her husband, Bernard; parents. Funeral service will be Wednesday, May 4, 2011, 10:00 a.m. at the Bennion Heights 4th Ward, 3045 West Bernina Drive (5837 South). Friends and family may call on Tuesday, from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and at the Church from 9-9:45 a.m. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park.
