LaWana Rigby Packer

July 13, 1927 — February 4, 2021

LaWana Rigby Packer, 93, peacefully passed away February 4, 2021.  She was born July 13, 1927 to Sylvia and Bryant O. Rigby.  LaWana was a wonderful daughter, sweetheart and wife, and a kind and nurturing mother.  She lived her life with love for all and a desire to serve others. 

She is survived by her daughters, Gayle (Eric) Haag, Kalynn (Russell) Sedgwick, Renae Walker; 17 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.   Preceded in death by husband, E. Eugene Packer; sons Wesley R Packer and Mark R Packer; son in-law John Phillip Walker; parents; and brothers Bryant K. Rigby, Ross K Rigby and Myron K Rigby.

The family expresses much gratitude for the loving care she received from Trenaisa Nay, GNP, and the staff at Legacy Village and Canyon Hospice. 

A viewing will be held Tuesday, February 9, 2021, 10:00 am at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.  Funeral Services will be conducted at McDougal Funeral Home at 11:00 am.  Because of Covid 19 restrictions it will be limited, however the services will be streamed live at  https://vimeo.com/509029494.
