Larry Mutchie

April 24, 1941 — May 12, 2023

Back With His Sweetheart ♥️

May 12th, 2023, We lost the strongest man we knew. Our Dad, Grandpa, Brother and Uncle. Our Iron man. Also known as "Mutchie" and "Fatboy"

Larry was born April 24th, 1941, to Donald and Earlene Mutchie In Lincoln, Nebraska.

Larry met then wed the love of his life, Della Mae Lindsay on October 8th, 1960. They soon welcomed three baby girls in the next coming years, Geri, Teri and Debbie.

Larry and Della were always together. She was the shine and sparkle in his baby blue eyes. They loved to go out camping and four wheeling alone and with family. They had a property out in Mt. Home, Utah they called their cabin where they would spend a lot of their summers. Larry and Della would spend time at Moon Lake while they were down there. It always held a special place in their hearts as that's where they met.

During basketball season you could find Larry and Della in their recliners watching and rooting for the Utah Jazz. If it wasn't the Jazz then it was a western movie. And most likely it would be a John Wayne movie, no matter how many times he had seen it.

Everyone knew Larry as a bullheaded, tough s.o.b. who was never short of a story. If you happen to be riding with him in his truck you'd hear all about how he built this structure and that one. You could tell just by his stories how proud of an iron worker he was. We will always treasure and miss his stories.

Larry is survived by his daughters, Geri (Todd), Debbie; grandchildren, Robert (Jessi) and Kourtney Mae; great-grandchildren, Maya, Ariana, Zayden, Zayne and Aria; his brother Donald (Patti); his sister Karen (Terry).

Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Earlene Mutchie; Wife of 61 years Della Mutchie; daughter Teri Lyn; granddaughters, Sasha and Nicole; Sister, Myrna (Leland).

Viewing will be held Friday May 19th, 4-6 pm at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.

We will be driving to Mountain Home, Utah where Larry will be reunited with his wife once again at a graveside service Saturday, May 20th, at 11 am at Boneta/Mountain Home Cemetery
