Kim Venita Burnside, was born July 15, 1957 in Detroit Michigan and later made Salt Lake City, Utah her home. She entered eternal rest on January 31, 2026, (found February 10, 2026), leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and unforgettable memories. She is cherished and remembered by her two daughters - Shonté Nicole Favor and Lakita Kenyatta Tucker, her beloved son-in-laws Marcus Favor and Shawn Tucker, her 9 grandchildren being the highlight of her later years, siblings Richie Ann Burnside-Douse, Ricardo Burnside, Herley Gregg Burnside, and Rodney David Burnside. She also leaves behind 7 nieces and nephews, 7 great-nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends who met her, loved her instantly, and will miss her dearly. Kim was truly one of a kind - a supportive, free spirit, and as real as it gets type of woman. If you knew Kim, you knew her lovable giggle and how her face clearly expressed exactly what she thought about any situation - no sugarcoating. She was full of love and quick to give it, and whether tough or gentle, it was always exactly what was needed. She loved a good cold Cherry Coke, Chewy Sprees, and a smoke! She studied and carried many accomplishments under her belt, however her greatest achievements were the lessons she poured into others. At some point, she taught all of us how to cook, dance, stand up for ourselves, and not only walk the walk but talk the talk as well. Kim could always make something out of nothing and turn it into a meal that brought us all together. In her late days she found joy in being involved with her church and surrounded by her grandchildren. Her life was a testament to resilience, authenticity, and unconditional love. SHE WILL SURELY BE MISSED!

We will celebrate her life, and bid her farewell, and her returning her to her mother, father, and many other loved ones on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the Favor Residence ... Until we meet again.

My name is so simple, Kim. I try not to get offended when someone totally forgets, or gets it wrong!Short. Sweet. Somehow still a mystery.
