Kenneth Richard Simons

Beloved Patriarch, Kenneth Richard (Richie) Simons Jr., of Magna, Utah, aged 70, brother, father, grandfather, patriarch, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026 in the comfort of his home with his beloved wife, Barbara, at his side.

Richie was born on June 28, 1956 to Kenneth Simons and Joan Parker. He was part of a large family of 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl. His parents and 3 siblings proceeded him in death. For the past 34 years Richie and Barbara Harris have been inseparable. They were rarely very far from one another.

Richie and Barbara enjoyed outdoor activities. Camping and fishing with family and friends was their favorite past time. Richie was self-employed and his company serviced businesses around the Salt Lake valley and neighboring counties.

A common expression frequently heard about Richie was; “He’s a really good man”. A caring and loving man, no one was left out of his reach.

He is survived by his wife Barbara; children: Kenneth Richard Simons III, Nickie Beckstead, Ashley Borland, Brett Harris, Danielle Swasey; 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. Richie will be greatly missed by all who came in contact with him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
