Kendra Van Grol

Kendra Duckett Van Grol was born on April 14, 1967, in Provo, Utah, to Janice Kay Jenkins and John Edward Duckett. She passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, at her home in South Salt Lake, Utah.

Kendra grew up in Sandy and Taylorsville, Utah. From an early age, she showed a natural creativity, drawn to both art and music. She loved working with her hands and especially excelled in painting and crafts.

In 1986, she married Darren James Van Grol, and together they raised three cherished children: Christa, Jamie, and Avery.

Kendra had a remarkable gift for beauty and design. She delighted in creating spaces that felt warm and inviting, thoughtfully arranging furniture, décor, and treasured items throughout her home. She had a deep love for plants and animals; her home was filled with greenery and often graced by at least one beloved cat. She tended her garden and cared for her pets with gentle devotion, finding joy and peace in their company. Music was another delight in her life, and she had a unique gift for noticing the small, beautiful details that might otherwise go unnoticed.

Kendra is survived by her children, Christa (Adam), Jamie, and Avery; her ex-husband, Darren; her mother, Janice Rasmussen; her sister, Jacque Hardman; her brothers, Devin (Julie) Duckett and Jeremy Duckett; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1940 East 10600 South, Sandy, Utah.
