Keith Cameron Macmillan

Keith Cameron Macmillan of Stansbury Park Utah, returned to his Heavenly Father on February 19th, 2021. Keith was born on November 12, 1938 in Perth, Western Australia to John Reginald Keith (JRK) Macmillan and Lillian Mellows Macmillan. Keith was the 2nd of eight children.

Keith married his wife VaLora Jones in July 1963 in Australia (later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple). Keith and VaLora settled in Hunter, Utah shortly after.

Keith graduated from the University of Western Australia with a degree in Pharmacy. After moving to the United States, he also graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in Pharmacy. He worked as a Pharmacist for Harmon’s in West Valley City for nearly 30 years and then on to Macey’s in West Jordan for 10 years. Keith continued working part time as a Pharmacist until his retirement at the age of 80. While working as a pharmacist Keith received many accolades from the pharmacy community as well as the University of Utah School of Pharmacy.

Keith served on the Developmental Disabled Council for several years, improving services for handicapped people. Keith’s son David is profoundly handicapped and he, as well as all handicapped people have benefited greatly from all his efforts while serving in this capacity.

Keith enjoyed running, playing Aussie rules football and golf. As he aged and could no longer participate in these activities, he enjoyed watching golf, the Utah Jazz, Australian rules football, Cricket and Horse Racing.

Keith is survived by his wife VaLora; his children: Ren Macmillan, Cammie (Ryan) Edvalson, David Macmillan; grandchildren: Aspen Wimmer, Alex Lund, Brecken Edvalson, Kellen Edvalson, Conley Lund, Jordan Lund and Abigail Lund; siblings: John Macmillan, Ross Macmillan, David Macmillan, Craig Macmillan, Julia Eastland, Barbara Atkinson, Joan Cocks; many nieces and nephews and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws; brothers in law; sisters in law; and niece.

A private family viewing will be held on February 25, 2021 from 9:00-9:45 am at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. A memorial service will follow for friends and family from 10:00-11:00 am. You may attend services virtually as well at: https://vimeo.com/515865488
