Karen Christenson Dean

Born March 1, 1949, daughter of LaPriel Page and Karnof Christenson. She passed away June 3, 2019, surrounded by her loving family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Dean “Skip”; sisters Sheryl and Linda; brother Wayne; daughter Tonya; grandson Isaiah; mother LaPriel; father Karnof; and many other loved ones.

She is survived by four children, three daughters with Meryl Norton Wood III (Tony) - Kimberly Wood (Darren), Stacy (Doug) Giles, Angela (Tarik) Abu-Khamseen; and one son with Charlie Hall - David (Patricia) Hall; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren; sister Kathy (George) Adams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.

Karen was an outgoing, social woman, who loved so many people. She had many successful businesses and was very giving and caring, lifting the spirits of everyone around her. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She enjoyed doing crafts, quilting, flower arrangements, family activities, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. She loved to be involved with her siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She will forever be deeply missed by all who love her.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 10, 2019, 9:00-11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 noon at Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
