Karalynn Sugden, 62, passed away on November 4, 2022, in Millcreek, Utah. Karalynn Sugden was born on August 20, 1960 in Murray, Utah, to Dale and Glorine Black.
Karalynn attended Jordan High school and graduated in 1978. She began her career as a Motor Carrier Manager and went on to work for the state of Utah for 35 years.
Karalynn married Robert 'Jim' James Malcolm in 1980. They had two children, Kristi Lynn Malcolm and Robert 'Robbie' James Malcolm Jr.
She later married Mathew Sugden in June of 2001 in Mack, Colorado. The two had a very emotionally supportive relationship that thrived into her final days.
Karalynn was a kind and caring soul. She loved to camp, line-dance, attend concerts and spend time with her loved ones whom she cherished. Karalynn was a passionate fan of the Utes and loved attending football games.
Karalynn is survived by her husband, Mathew Sugden; her brothers Kennard, Mike, and David Black; her children Kristi and Robbie; and her granddaughters Kylee and Aniyah.
Karalynn is preceded in death by her parents Dale and Glorine; and her brother Jimmy. Along with other friends and family members, Mitzi, Justin, Jenn, and Heidi.
A public viewing will be held on Wednesday, November 16, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Funeral for Karalynn Sugden will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home with a viewing prior to the services from 10:00 - 10:45 a.m..
Interment Salt Lake Cemetery, 4th Ave & “N” Street, Salt Lake City, Utah at 1:00 p.m. Followed by a luncheon at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Cottonwood Heights.
