On June 21, 2025, we lost the beloved matriarch of our family, Julia Ann (Phibbs) Sloan, who passed away peacefully in her West Valley home at the age of 83.

Julia was born on March 31, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, and moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, at the age of one. She graduated from West High School in Salt Lake City. While in high school, she met the love of her life, Raymond Sloan. They married and shared 50 wonderful years together.

She dedicated 30 years of service to Utah Paper Box before retiring.

Julia lived a life defined by grace, strength, and compassion. She was a devoted daughter, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, and a cherished friend to many. Her warmth, kindness, and sense of humor touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
