Loving mother, grandma, sister and friend, Joyce Curtis Anderson, passed away on August 23, 2022, at home with her family by her side. She lived a full life and returned to our Heavenly Father at the age of eighty-eight.
She was born on February 27, 1934, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Kenneth Curtis and Relia Ence. Joyce was one of five children and very close to her brother Kay as they were only 15 months apart.
In her early life Joyce would spend the summers in Evanston with her family and got her first job washing dishes for the summer when she was 16. She graduated from South High School in ’53. Married Wilford Charles Anderson on July 23, 1975, in Salt Lake City. Later sealed in The Jordan River Temple on February 29, 1992.
Joyce was a talented seamstress and loved working with her hands. She could be found in her chair making dolls for the Festival of Trees and Primary Children’s hospital. She spent her entire year crocheting, sewing, and creating hand crafted gifts for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren for Christmas. When she wasn’t crafting, she would keep her hands busy by filling coloring books with beautiful artwork.
