Joseph Sheldon Rice III died peacefully in his sleep on October 3, 2017. His wit, love of atrocious puns, compassion, and sense of duty will be missed by all who knew him. He served his country with honor in the United States Army in Vietnam and in the National Guard. He is survived by three daughters, Kristi Rice Skinner, Breanne Rice, Alyssa Rice Speaker; and four grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, October 9th at 10:30 am at the Utah Veterans Memorial Park located at 17111 South Redwood Road. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Wounded Warrior Project. Place of Birth:Augusta, GeorgiaPlace of Death:West Valley City, Utah
