John Andrews

John Timothy "Tim" Andrews passed away September 26, 2025 from complications of pneumonia. He was born August 27th, 1961 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wesley and Janette Andrews.

He grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and graduated from South High School. From there, he attended and graduated from Salt Lake Community College with an associates degree in general and electronics studies.

He was called to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints for the Brisbane Australia mission. He valued the time he served and made many friends while on his mission.

One notable achievement that Tim and his family was very proud of was the receiving of his Eagle Scout Award. The Eagle Scout project Tim chose was to raise money for a headstone identifying the founder of the Lehman Caves, Absalom Lehman (located in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Salt Lake City, Utah). The Lehman Caves is located in the Great Basin National Park in Nevada.

Tim valued serving his family, neighbors and friends. He was always willing to help out someone in need. He was loyal to his friends and family, and spent many years caring for his late parents.

Tim was a loving son, uncle, brother and friend to many.

He is survived by his siblings, Rodney, Jeffery, Janice and Ryan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Janette Andrews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff and residents of Monument Health Murray Creek and True North Hospice Care for their love and kind treatment of our beloved brother.

Graveside service will be held October 2, 2025, 1:00 p.m. at The Taylorsville City Cemetery, 4567 South Redwood Road with the interment to follow, under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life and luncheon will be held after the Graveside service at The Gathering Hall, 4306 South Redwood Road in the North building next to McDougal Funeral Home.
