John Easterbrook

John Wayne Easterbrook, age 78, passed over on October 23, 2023, at IMC hospital in Murray, Utah. He was born May 14, 1945, in Hampton, Virginia along with his twin sister (Marty Hawkins).

John loved his wife Connie, his three sons Shayne, Slade, and Skyler; and especially adored his four grandchildren Alexus, Alyssa, Kylie, and Braxton. He enjoyed spending time boating with his boys, snow skiing with his older son Shayne, supporting his younger sons Slade and Skyler at their sporting events, and his grandchildren in their various activities and sports.

John was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

John had a strong passion for his occupation land surveying for Questar, Easterbrook Land Surveying, and the state of Utah. He worked for Questar for the majority of his career. After retiring from Questar, he realized how much he missed surveying and started his own land surveying company, Easterbrook Land Surveying LLC and had his boys work with him on occasion. After retiring from his business, he decided to work for the state of Utah for a few more years.

John is survived by his wife Connie (Gunn) who was the love of his life for over 51 years, son Skyler, grandchildren Alexus, Alyssa, Kylie, and Braxton, brother Richard Easterbrook (Sharon), sister Marty Hawkins (Duane), Linda Perez (Raul), and numerous cousins. Preceded in death by his father and mother, two sons Shayne and Slade.

Funeral services will be held November 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at the Maples 5th Ward, 6592 W. Haven Maple Drive, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held from 10:00-10:45 prior to the service. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
