Jefferson Henry Mitchell

March 27, 1959 — July 27, 2020

Graveside Funeral Services for Jefferson Henry Mitchell, 61, will be held on Friday, July 31, 2020, at 10 a.m. at the Memorial Redwood Cemetery in West Jordan, Utah.  Officiating will be Reverend Michael Sells.

Jeff was born on a bright sunny morning on March 27, 1959, in Phoenix, Arizona.  He passed away on July 27, 2020 at West Valley City, Utah.

In our hearts, he will always stay.  Loved, and remembered, every day.

To be close to his Grandfather, Jeff attended Crownpoint High School, in Crownpoint, New Mexico and later graduated from Box Elder High School in Brigham City, Utah.  He furthered his education at Utah Technical College, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

A long-life love of being able to fix anything mechanical, Jeff worked in the Oil Drilling Business, on Oil Rigs in South Carolina, and Wyoming.  Jeff later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and worked as a Diesel mechanic fixing large Rigs and BMWs.

Jeff was a friendly, outgoing, and talkative guy.  He made friends easily; was well-admired and loved by family and friends.  Jeff was very artistic and had a creative eye; he could easily create unique works of art and bring old cars back to life.

Survivors include his wife, Gloria, and their sons, Cameron and Dylan.  Jeff loved his family dearly; his sons, Cameron and Dylan were the pride and joy of Jeff’s life.  Gloria was the love of his life.  The legacy of Jeff’s spirit, his passion for repairing all things mechanical, love of collecting unique objects and his Zest for Life will live on through them.

Jeff is survived by his large extended family, six of his sisters residing from Washington State, to Florida. Beloved Aunties, Uncles, and many cousins; all of his friends whom he loved to joke and laugh with.  Jeff was preceded in death by his Mother, Cecilia J. Nez; his Father, Jim Mitchell; and his Step-Father, Peter Nez.  Grandfather Henry Jeff-Gonzales and Grandmother Mary Jeff Gonzales.

We lost a Loved One; and gained a Guardian Angel.

Due to current COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no reception.
