Jean Rhodes Gamache passed away peacefully on Friday May 5th, 2023 at the age of 96.
Jean was an only child born on December 18th, 1926 in Reno, NV to Inez Rhodes and George Gamache. She diligently worked as a cosmetologist for many years starting in 1949, working in a variety of areas including California, Nevada, and Utah. Additionally, she worked as the Beauty Operator of Hotel Utah. She further expressed her passion for cosmetology as an educator, teaching her pupils the importance of creativity and imagination within the world of vanity.
Her green thumb was prevalent in every community she assimilated into, growing numerous vegetables and flowers to perfection.
Jean naturally excelled in hobbies such as sewing, knitting, and cooking, effortlessly showcasing her compassion in each creation. Her family often looked forward to her authentic lasagne, fresh baked bread, and warm cinnamon rolls, for they could taste the love and dedication within every bite they took.
Jean was an animal lover, shown through her beloved precious pet companions including her dog, Sandy, and cat, Shamu.
For many years she lived in the Coventry Cove apartments in Riverton, UT and thoroughly enjoyed her time living there; making many wonderful friends along the way.
Jean has six beautiful children and is survived by five of them; Son Steven Grisolio and wife Sandi Grisolio, daughter Deborah Perry and husband Gary Perry, daughter Tina Nielsen and late husband Marvyn Nielsen, daughter JoAnn Grisolio, and daughter Rose Ann Holeton Shrope.
