Lynn Jephson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving husband, dad, grandfather, brother, and friend James "Lynn" Jephson.

Lynn passed away at home on November 9, 2023. He was born March 22, 1945 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Rula June (Clifford) and Victor Harold Jephson.

He attended Ricks College where he met Donna Miller. They were married on August 27, 1965, and together they had six children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

After the passing of Donna, he met and married Eileen Clark on July 3, 2019. This union blessed his family with many more children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Lynn was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many callings with love and dedication. Lynn was all about family and worked very hard to provide for them. He worked in retail for many years, working his way from the bottom up, with many of those years spent as a General Manager. Later in life he changed careers and owned and operated his hearing aid business, Custom Hearing.

He was genuine, humble, selfless, kind, loving, and adventurous. He enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing (which as he taught us, is different than catching), gardening, geology, and lastly off-roading which gave him the opportunity to explore the road less traveled. Time spent with family were his favorite moments.

His off-beat sense of humor could make anyone smile. He was very genuine, down to earth, and there is no one else like him. Our Dad is absolutely amazing.

He is preceded in death by his parents Rula Simpson and Victor "Jim" Jephson, brother Dennis Jephson, wife Donna Jephson, and their son Allan Jephson.

Lynn is survived by his wife, Eileen Jephson; 5 children, Michael Jephson, Holly (Shea) Jackson, Janet (Neil) Hamilton, Angie (Craig) Flanders, Bonnie (Ronnie) Gragg; and his sister Shirley Williams.

The family will meet with friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Saturday, November 18, 2023, at the Brookhaven Ward building 4980 W. 3285 S. West Valley City, Utah. Graveside services will follow at 12:00 pm at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 W. 4100 S. West Valley City, Utah.
