Our father was called home to be with Jesus on September 28, 2026. He was 80 years old. James Edward Glasker II was born August 7, 1946 to James Edward Glasker and Betty Jane Bankhead in Salt Lake City, Utah. He retired from Kennecott after 25 years of service. He served our country honorably in the Navy. He learned the value of hard work early on - a trait that would define much of his life. To say James was a hard worker is an understatement. He took on three children at the age of 18 before going on to have three more sons. While all under one roof, he then raised four other children while working hard to provide for everyone.
Our father enjoyed fishing and watching all kinds of sports. He loved playing and coaching basketball. He was an airplane and car mechanic and very hands-on with fixing anything. This is a skill he has passed on to his sons.
He was so proud of his two grandsons who both play football for BYU, Isaiah Glasker and Legend Glasker. He was really looking forward to this year and watching them both play.
James is survived by his children, Curtis Ellery Gresham, Stephen Ray Glasker (Melissa), James Edward Glasker III (Bianca), Gary Thomas Glasker; and the children he raised; Troy Don Hayden, Tracy Lynn Rollin (Fred), Julian Treyvail Hayden (Jamie), and Justina Chantelle Glasker (Ervin); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews; his brothers, Thomas Leroy Glasker, Dennis Allen Glasker, and sisters Mary Jane Renfro, Kim Ann Silver
Preceded in death by his parents; James Edward and Betty Jane Glasker; son, Julius Lee Gresham; daughter, Carla Jean Glasker; and the mother of his children, Leora Bernice Glasker.
