J Larry Antczak

October 10, 1938 — November 3, 2022

Taylorsville, Utah

Our beloved father, grandfather, and friend Joseph Larry Antczak returned peacefully to our loving Father in Heaven November 3, 2022 at the age of 84. Born October 10, 1938 in Murray, Utah, son of Joseph Lewis Antczak and Bertha Hansine Brady Antczak. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Northern States Mission. He also served in the Utah National Guard. On June 23, 1967 he married the love of his life, Shauna Kathryn Rollins in the Salt Lake Temple, Utah. Together he and Shauna had 6 children that they raised in Taylorsville, Utah.

He was a skilled mechanic, and had an uncanny ability to take things apart and reassemble them.  Some of his greatest joys included spending time at the family cabin, riding his 4 wheeler in the mountains, reloading ammunition, shooting his guns, tinkering in the garage, and playing with his grand-dogs. He was a world class teaser especially with his children & grandchildren. He loved to make up silly songs that would made everyone laugh.  He was a "foodie" and taught us to never trust a skinny chef. He was a fantastic cook, and grill master. He would rather be an hour early, than a minute late to anything. He will be greatly missed!

Larry is preceded in death by his amazing wife, parents, and brother Doug.

Larry leaves his children, Bruce (Cathi) Antczak, Staci (Patrick) Roark, Kerri (Dan) Oakeson, Lashaun Jager, Mark (Shannon) Antczak, Jared (Charlene) Antczak; and his 22 grandchildren, Austin (Lindsay), Kaeleigh (Dylan), Max, Jack, Maelee, Ambree (Dallin), Ben, Megan, Sydnee, Rachel, Paityn, Sadie, Tragen, Nathan, Joshua, Wendi, Kyler, Ryan, Lyla, Zoey, Mason, and Connor; and one great grandchild, Brevan.

We'd like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff and residents at Carrington Court Assisted Living in South Jordan, Utah, and Active Home Health and Hospice. Our dad felt welcomed from day one. Thank you for the exceptional care, kindness, and attentive care given to our dad and family.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 11 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home on 4330 S Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. As per Larry's request no funeral service will held.
