Iva Dell Johnson

Iva Dell Johnson, 66, was born on September 27, 1939, and returned home to her Heavenly Father on May 9, 2026. She was born to Norel Ivan and Cora O'Della Johnson.

She was one of seven siblings: Genevie and Herman Vollmer; LaVerl and Jolene Johnson; Neola and Stan Smith; Monte and Gloria Johnson; Donna and Frank Pierce; and Loraine and Syd Smith. She attended Roosevelt Elementary School, Alameda Junior High and Poky High School.

Iva met and married her sweetheart James Russell Howell on September 21, 1955. The marriage was later solemnized in The Idaho Falls Temple, July 27, 1962.  Together they had four children: Richard S. Howell, Peggy J. Daniels, Vickie Neider ( Deven Neider), and Russell S. Howell. They were later divorced.

Iva was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings. She enjoyed working in The South Jordan Temple for many years. She worked at Rubber Engineering for many years, where she made many dear friends. She also enjoyed working at the Delta Center where she was able to enjoy the concerts and various events.

She was an avid gardener and took great pride in her beautiful yard filled with flowers. She loved her pet dogs, and they love her in return. Above all, she had a deep love for her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.

She was preceded in death by husband, Jim; parents, sons Richard and Russell Howell; grandsons Trent & Graham Humphrey's and Toby Siler. Survived by sister Loraine; daughters Peggy Daniels & Vickie Neider.

She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Funeral Services will be held, Monday, May 18, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road. Viewings will be held, Sunday, May 17, 6-8:00 p.m. and again Monday, May 18, 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service.

Interment, Valley View Memorial Park,4400 West 4100 South, West Valley City, Utah.
