Ina Elaine Fikstad Hansen, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021 in her home in West Valley City, UT at the age of 92. She was born to Moylen Elmer Fikstad and Ina Bell Keppner on June 14, 1929 in Rexburg, ID. She always enjoyed that she shared her birthday with her mother as well as it being on Flag Day.
Elaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On October 15, 1946 Elaine married Rex H Hansen (later divorced) and the two of them had four children: Jackie Robertson, Carolyn (Fred) Jones, Brad Hansen, and Jed (Colleen) Hansen. The family moved to West Valley City, UT in 1967. For several years she loved working at Granger Medical Clinic. Elaine was proud of her hard working, dry farming heritage. So many were blessed by her gardening and quilting talents. She also enjoyed hosting family and friends from out of town to stay at the “Madison County Boarding House''. Elaine always brought the magic of Christmas to life with her family in the most beautiful way.
Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, LaDee Fikstad Galli and Sonia “Sunny” Fikstad Siepert; as well as her son-in-law, Gerald Robertson.
She is survived by all four children; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Glenna Fikstad Gould and Dennis Fikstad.
A special thank you to the David and Rachel Orgill family as well as to Intermountain Health Care’s hospice team: Valerie, Anna, Trish, and Ruth.
