Gwenda Arnold

Gwenda Irene Wells Arnold, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 4, 2025, surrounded by family.

Gwenda was born May 9, 1942, in Price, Utah to George Ira & Vivian Wells. She was raised in Wellington, Utah until moving to Sugarhouse where she graduated from Highland High in 1960. She married the love of her life, Robert Bennion Arnold, on June 26, 1964, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Gwenda was a dedicated and faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who always loved serving others, including with her husband for 6 years in Guatemala with Seminary and as a loving mission mother.

Gwenda had many talents and excelled at sewing, gardening, and pretty much anything she put her mind to. She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, exploring, and was a "crack shot" with a rifle.

Gwenda had an incredible memory and could recall the names of almost anyone she ever met, as well as something unique about them.

Gwenda's greatest joy in life was her family. Her home was always a welcoming place, and she made anyone who entered feel like they belonged.

Gwenda was finally reunited with her Eternal Sweetheart after 26 long years. She is survived by her 5 children; 13 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and any who called her Mom or Grandma.
