Gregory Larsen

February 8, 1963 — June 30, 2025

Gregory Larsen, age 62, passed away peacefully at his home on June 30, 2025, following a courageous battle with metastatic prostate cancer. Greg was born February 8, 1963, in Price, Utah, to Hayden and Colleen Larsen. He was the youngest of six children. Growing up, he lived in Scofield, Utah, Montpelier, Idaho, and West Valley City, Utah. He graduated from Cyprus High School.

Greg married the love of his life, Ann Taylor, on September 9, 1988. He was a devoted husband and a proud father to their daughter Brittany. He also helped raise his stepson, Brandon. Greg was also a dedicated dog dad to Buddy, Toby, and Zoey, who brought him much joy over the years.

Greg had a passion for hockey and played on various teams in the men's adult hockey league in the Salt Lake area for many years. He also enjoyed the freedom of riding his motorcycle. Greg had a love for music, and he especially enjoyed the rock band Rush.

Greg enjoyed being in the great outdoors hunting and fishing. He spent countless hunting seasons with his dad, brothers, uncles, cousins, and friends hunting deer and pheasants. Greg was an avid fisherman. If you ever went fishing with Greg, you could be sure you would catch your limit. He enjoyed giving fish he caught to friends and neighbors. Greg always looked forward to going ice fishing on his birthdays with his wife, Ann.

Greg was a kind, generous, and thoughtful person. He was always willing to lend a hand and touched many lives through simple, quiet acts of service. He honored the memory of loved ones who had passed by visiting many cemeteries and leaving flowers at their graves each Memorial Day and other holidays.

Greg was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Kathy, and his niece Amy. Greg is survived and loved by his wife Ann, daughter Brittany, stepson Brandon; sister Lisa, brothers Michael (Deanna), Terry (Betty), Jeffrey (Caroll); and many special nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, from 9:00 - 10:30 AM at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah.
