Gloria Garcia

January 26, 1952 — April 22, 2023

Our beautiful Goga received her wings and was born into eternity on April 22, 2023.

Gloria Madeline Martinez was born on January 26, 1952 in Rock Springs, WY to Stella Aguilar and Benjamin Joe Martinez.

Gloria was only 4' 11" but she was just like dynamite in a small package. She loved listening to Mexican music and she loved to dance. In her day she would close down the dance halls. She loved to sing Tengo Celos De Ti with her brother Rick. She loved to make pork chops and potatoes and everyone loved to eat them and could never get enough of them. Her favorite outing was going to Sizzler with her siblings.

We're pretty sure that Pepsi might have to shut their doors, since Gloria kept them in business.

Gloria is survived by her four children; Tina Ambriz (Guillermo), Joe Rael, Rachelle Villalpando (Francisco), Francisco Garcia (Emma) and also Elicia Cuellar who Gloria loved just like a daughter.

Surviving Siblings; Jim Martinez (Marcia), Carol Valdez (Robert), Delores Martinez, Sharon Montano (Heraldo), Donna Martinez, Rick Tovar (Linda), Josie Tovar and Lupe Tovar.

Grandchildren; Fernando, Martin (Brandy), Carlos, Francisco Jr., Jorge, Gloriana, Priscilla, Julian, Matthew, Gabriella, Janessa, Ashley, Joe Jr., Jesse and Estrella.

Great Grandchildren; Adriana, Fernando, Teresa, Renesmee, Hunter, Kylie, Sebastian and Josslyn.

Gloria loved all of her grandchildren but had a special bond with one. She felt like her and Gordo (Francisco) just "got" each other. They were always there for each other and he would stay and take care of her whether she was in her apartment or in the hospital. Gordo found his grandma in her final moments, she was not alone, he was with her. She waited and took her last breath with him there, now she will forever be his guardian angel.

Gloria had special longtime friendships with Debbie, Glenda and Edwina. Along with Rose Draper and all the staff at Legacy Village.

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers - Benny and Max, sister - Maxine. Brothers-in-law - Jerry and Heraldo, Great-nephew Anthony, who she used to babysit and called him Chipilon.
