Spike Sanchez 10-28-53 ~ 07-01-11 Come sweet brother & sleep in the clouds; where tranquility reigns & peaceful slumber abounds . We are devastated at the passing of our Dad, Spike. He slipped away peacefully as we slept on July 1st. He was born in Kenilworth, Utah to Mary Jo & Fred Sanchez. Married Diane Giron; later divorced. Spike was a member of the Painters Union & an excellent pool player. He was a passionate Green Bay Packers Fan. Spike is survived by 3 sons: Vince (Erika) Sanchez, Sean Sanchez, Ian Sanchez; 2 daughters: Hope (Gene) Montoya, Nancie (Barry) Alexander; mother: Mary Jo; 9 grandchildren: James, Angel, Isabella, Patrick, Alexys, Daniel, Gabriel, Christopher & Brooklyn; 3 brothers: Andy (Anita) Sanchez, Chris (Susan) Sanchez, Anthony (Misty) Gutierrez; and 3 sisters: Janet (Anthony) Trujillo, Tina (Alex) Archuleta and Melissa (Kay) Mace. Preceded in death by brother, Raymond. Everyone s FAVORITE Uncle A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 8, 2011, 10:00 am, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 4501 West 5215 South. Viewing will be held Thursday, 6 - 8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road with the recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00 pm. Viewing will also be held Friday, 9 - 9:45 a.m., at church. Interment, Taylorsville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations many be made to Mountain America Credit Union in the name of Fred Sanchez.
