Frances Earlean Robinson Olsen

I was born April 27, 1934, in Price, Utah. Passed away peacefully at home on June 2, 2022. My parents were Francis Earl Robinson and Rhoda Wilma Smithson. When I was 8 years old, we moved to Salt Lake City. My siblings were Barbara, Freeman, Nephi, Reva, Ruby, June, and Paul. I graduated from West High School in 1953. After High School I worked at Purity Biscuit as a Pastry Baker. My mother died in 1959. After her death I decided to go to Hawaii and I stayed with a friend there; this was the 1st time that I had been away from home.

I met my husband Dick Olsen several years before we got married. He was in the Army. We were married June 15, 1962. I had 2 son’s; Chris was born in 1963 and Craig was born in 1964. They were the light of my life and I loved being a mother. Chris has 2 son’s: Jonathon and Curtis. Craig also brought me 2 grandson’s: Brock and Blake. I was also blessed with 2 bonus children: Boyd and Leasa along with their kids and grandkids.

I spent many years working as a lunch lady for Granite School District. I spent many Saturday afternoons cheering for BYU Football and many evenings cheering for the University of Utah Women’s Gymnastics and enjoyed going to see them in National Championship meets. I had many calling for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and anyone that knew me knew what Church I belonged to! My husband was the joy of my life and thankfully I will be with him again now.
