Florence Diantha Rolfe Petersen

Florence R. Petersen 1914 ~ 2011 Florence Rolfe Petersen passed away peacefully June 5, 2011. She was born July 7, 1914 to William and Mary Ellen Rolfe in Hunter, Utah where her early years were spent. Florence married Grant H. Petersen September 5, 1935 in the Logan Temple. They made their home in Granger and then moved to Sandy to run their poultry farm. Together they had two sons and one daughter. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She will be remembered for her love of family, courage, compassion and endurance. Survived by her children: Rolfe Dee (Lorna) and Christie (Court) DeSpain; daughter-in-law, Patricia Petersen; sister, Mable (Verne) Breeze; 9 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, Grant; son, Sharon; great-grandson, Garrett Petersen; sisters, Lapreal Andersen, Guila Evans and brother, Benjamin Rolfe. Funeral services will be held Friday, June 10, 2011, 12:00 noon at the Draper 2nd Ward, 1617 East 12700 South where a viewing will be held held, 10-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Occupation:Ranch Owner
