Esther Marie Peterson

Esther M. Peterson Our Angel Esther Marie Peterson left this world peacefully May 4, 2011. She was born May 7, 1987, her parents Stephen and Mary Alice Thompson Peterson will miss her greatly. She was an inspiration to all who knew her. Born with Muscular Dystrophy and suffering from a stroke and seizures, she never complained or backed down but believed she could do anything she chose to and did not believe she was handicapped. She gave hugs freely, served her friends and family, and had a lively sense of humor. She graduated from Taylorsville High School and the Hartvigsen School. She participated in the Special Olympics in bowling, swimming and track. She touched the lives of everyone she met. Survived by her parents; brothers, Brian Peterson, Darrell Peterson and Mike Latray; sisters, Laura Orellana, Katie Fenstermaker, Keri (Merrill) Carlin; grandparents, Fred and Flossie Thompson; and 15 nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her grandma and grandpa Peterson and a nephew. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, 2011, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 38th Ward, 4310 South 3200 West. Viewings will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road and Monday at the church, 10-10:45 a.m. Interment, Bountiful City Cemetery.
