Ellen M. Lund Beloved Mother Ellen Maria Lund, age 95, passed away peacefully May 3, 2011. She was born September 24, 1915 to Harry William and Ester Ann Colledge Manning, the ninth of ten children, their last surviving child. Ellen married Robert Joseph Johnson in 1933 and he died in 1951; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She married Hugh M. Gainsforth in 1952, he died in 1955. Married Henry W. Lund, later divorced. Mom was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a deep love for the Savior. Her testimony of the gospel was a source of strength to her and her family. Mom was a hard worker all her life, a great cook, and had a talent and love for working with those who were physically or mentally challenged. She loved politics and sports and was known to involuntarily scream at a winning touchdown or a buzzer beating three pointer; but her greatest joy was spending time with her family who will miss her deeply. She is survived by her three daughters: Connie (Thomas H.) Yates; Pat (Clair) Harris; Cathi (Spencer) Herzog; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 40 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, June Manning. Preceded in death by parents; husbands; 7 brothers; 2 sisters; 1 great-grandson. Well done, thou good and faithful servant Funeral services will be held Monday, May 9, 2011, 12:00 noon at the Winder 8th Ward, 1361 East 4000 South where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of McDougal Funeral Home. Occupation:Dorm Supervisor
