Elaine Morgan Wilding

January 7, 1935 — November 24, 2021

Our angel wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away peacefully November 24, 2021. Elaine was born January 7, 1935, the daughter of Iris Bell and Mable Gerrard Morgan in Granger, Utah. She was one of six children.

Elaine married her high school sweetheart, Wallace Wilford Wilding, in the Logan Temple August 2, 1954. Together they had six children.

Elaine defined the Christ-like attribute of charity and possessed the innate ability to provide needed service to all she met. She will forever be remembered for the unmatched love for her eternal companion of 67 years, her unwavering faith in the Savior, and her deep love and devotion for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was an elect lady.

Elaine was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held many callings and served as a temple worker in the Jordan River Temple. A highlight of her years of service is when she and Wally served as full-time missionaries in the Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Mission (2012-2013). During their service, Elaine was diagnosed with breast cancer. They remained on their mission where she endured an operation and treatments and stayed to complete their mission. It is cancer which ultimately took her life.

Elaine is survived by her husband Wally; and children: Robyn (Roger) Bingham, Russell (Wendy) Wilding, Brett (Julie) Wilding, Richard Wilding, Celeste (Scott) Horrocks, Michael (LeAnn) Wilding; 20 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 1 brother; 1 sister; 1 grandson-in-law; and 1 great-grandchild.

The family would like to thank Dignity Hospice for their loving care.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021, 11 a.m., at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 690 North 400 West, Centerville, Utah 84014. Friends and family may visit Monday, November 29, 2021, from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah 84123, and 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to the funeral service at the church.
