Edwin Peterson

Edwin Harold Peterson passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at his home in Tooele, Utah.

Edwin is survived by his wife JoAnne, Lake Point, Utah; his eight kids, Nicole & P.J. Thornton, Kaysville, Utah; Tami Brown, Taylorsville, Kentucky; Dean & Jeanna Peterson, Clearfield, Utah; Amy & Robert Venter, Akron, New York; Shaun & Lisa Peterson, Albany, New York; Cory Peterson, Norwood, New York; Jason & Tissiana Peterson, Wallsburg, Utah; and Brooke & Matthew King, Croydon, Utah. He had 19 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ina Peterson; his sisters Charlene Peterson and Corinne Turner.

Born in Salina, Utah on January 04, 1947 to Harold Dean and Ina Brinkerhoff Peterson. Edwin graduated from Ernest Righetti High School in Santa Maria, California. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, served a full-time mission for the Church in New York City and was serving as an Ordinance Worker in the Tooele Utah Temple. He worked in the insurance industry as an owner and agent until he retired.

Graveside Service for family only will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, 2p.m. Taylorsville City Cemetery, 4567 South Redwood Road.

Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 PM, at the LDS Ward Building at 5233 South 3200 West, Taylorsville, Utah.  Public is invited.
