Edwin Albert Lashlee, born November 28, 1932 in Center Point, Arkansas to John Aaron and Eva Louise Lashlee, passed away peacefully at his home with his daughter at his side in Taylorsville, Utah. February 7, 2022.

Edwin served in the US Navy 1956-1960 (Korea) aboard the USS Guadalupe.  A metal fabricator by trade, he loved the great outdoors, gardening and camping with his family. If he had a chance and any spare time he also loved to go panning for gold, something he enjoyed sharing with his grandchildren and others. After retiring Edwin and his wife Emma volunteered at the Humanitarian Center for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints tying quilts for those in need and making new friends. His presence will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

A special thanks to his granddaughter Kendall Jean for all of her patience, love and sacrifice in caring for Edwin “Papa” after his wife Emma passed away.

Also, a special thanks to Superior Home Care and Hospice, Rene, Megan, Andria and Michel for their dedicated service to the veterans of this country.

Edwin was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Emma Virginia Abney; and two daughters, Tammera Louise & Pamela Sue; his sister Hazel; and two brothers James and Clarence Lashlee.

Edwin is survived by his brother Joe Lashlee; sons Robert Wayne, Bill Ray, Jay Aaron, and Asa Leon Lashlee; and his daughter Norma Jean Quinn; 14 grandchildren, Kevin, Tyler, Robert, Danny, Shannon, Ryan, Rachel, Lance, David, Steve, Josh, Scott, Kendal and Chris; 13 great-grandchildren Justin, Luciano, Elaine, Sadie, Jack, Lucas, Remi, Kyson, Max, Tammy, Dartanyan, Rowan and Alex.
