Don was sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple to his eternal companion, Marsha Ann Bawden on April 27, 1967. Marsha preceded him in death in 2014 after a valiant battle with breast cancer.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served faithfully throughout his life.

Don found joy in his family, service, generosity, dad jokes, golf, bowling, his alma mater Cyprus High School, the University of Utah, horseback riding, and his beloved friends.

Don had a stellar brain and memory that served him well in his careers, including Kennecott Copper Mine, and Granite School District where he worked as the Transportation Special Education area supervisor, retiring there in 2008. He will be truly missed.

Don is survived by his children: Donna Leppink, Jill (Richard) Gardner, Lora (Chris) Crosby, Emily (Jim) Cebrowski, Dirk (Alisa) Bawden, Katie (Jon) Hunter, Devin (Lacey) Bawden; his wife Sherylee and her five daughters: Mandi (Tim) Saxton, Cherilyn (Dave) Pinegar, Nichole Sublette, Britney Jacquez, Abbey (Casey) Huggard; 40 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife Marsha Ann Bailey Bawden; his parents: Don Jay Bawden Sr. and Vivian May Bawden; his siblings Paul, Kathy, and Neil; and his grandsons: Andrew Leppink and Collin Crosby.
