Dianne Gail Davis Warr died peacefully at her home on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Gail was born October 13, 1942, to Vernal Jay and Hope Howlett Davis.
Gail attended Cyprus High School where she met the love of her life, Parley Dennis Warr. They were married on March 1, 1961. Gail and Dennis were blessed with 5 children over the next 19 years. Their children meant the world to them, and later, their 12 grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Gail was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and held many callings during her life. She was a Primary President, Young Women's President, Relief Society President, Primary teacher, and Ward chorister. Gail also served in the Jordan River Temple for many years.
Gail loved animals and adopted feral cats in the neighborhood and fed them. She would always get excited when the cats would let her pet them. She cared deeply for her cockatiels and parakeets and sang to them every morning.
Gail was fortunate to be at home to raise her children within her home. She loved being a mother and her children always knew she would be there for them. After her children were old enough, she decided to go to work with Utah State University, helping low-income families learn to manage a budget and shop for food, then, how to cook for their families. She was very fulfilled doing this service.
Gail is a member of the Daughter's of the Utah Pioneers. She was always excited to travel with her family. She was very talented; she loved to knit, crochet, quilt, and sew. She relaxed by completing puzzles and crosswords and was a very good bowler in her heyday.
Gail is preceded in death by her husband Dennis; her mother, Hope; father Jay; and stepfather, Ron Latham; brother, Corey Latham; mother- and father- in-law, Stan and Mildred Warr; daughter- in-law, Suzette Warr; and her grandparents, cousins, brother-in-law, and many friends.
Gail is survived by her 5 children: Dale, Laura, Michael (Alissa), Timothy (Dannielle) and Eugene (Nanette), 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Granger West East Church House, located at 3305 S Scottsdale Drive (approx. 3960 West), in West Valley City, Utah at 11:00 am. Interment services will be held at Valley View Cemetery, 4400 West 4100 South, in West Valley City, where Gail will be laid to rest next to her eternal companion on June 24, 2026.
The family would like to thank all of the nurses and staff at First Choice Home Health & Hospice for their support and care they provided for our mother. You were true Angels with her and providing support.
