Devan Peck

November 30, 1969 — January 2, 2024

Devan Michael Peck, lovingly known as Sir Paco, 54, of Glendale, Utah, threw his final pitch on January 2, 2024. Devan stepped up to the plate on November 30, 1969, in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was a real MVP as a husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Devan had a killer arm on the baseball field .This all-star athlete had a ball playing baseball and was known as one of the league's top pitchers at Sorensen and Sherwood Park. The Trappers even had their eye on him as a walk-on, but life threw a curveball, and he chose to be a father and work hard to support his family. Devan also had a slam dunk love for basketball; he had skills that made opponents dribble with fear. Devan's love for sports extended beyond playing them; he was known for his knowledge and enthusiasm when watching various sporting events especially when watching his beloved 49'ers play. But his true talent? Knocking 'em dead with his hilarious sense of humor and capping sessions on the bus ride home. No joke could throw him off his game, and he always left everyone in stitches. He was truly a loving, loyal, and selfless man, leaving a lasting impression on everyone around him.

For the past 13 years, Devan's wife Lisa had the honor of being his number one fan, creating a highlight reel of memories. He was a true MVP, always checking in to make sure she was good, giving her strength, love, and happiness like no one else could. Devan's impact on countless lives was a grand slam, and he probably never realized just how many people adored him.

When Devan wasn't hitting home runs on the field, he enjoyed reeling in good times while fishing, scoring big laughs on camping trips, and revving up his engines while working on cars. But his most cherished moments were spent with his family, especially the little ones who brought him immeasurable joy.

Devan leaves behind a lineup of loved ones, including his wife, Lisa Peck, his MVP parents, Mike and Pauline Peck, his all-star sister Tiffany Peck (Cameron Lopes), and his home run-hitting children Tina Marie Peck, Ashley Rose Peck, Vanessa Camacho (Bobby Lozano Mother), Michael Andrew Peck, Morisha Salazar (Antonette Ortiz Mother), Terry and Angelo Kristine, Anthony Quintana, Destiny Monique Peck, Noah Falcon (Bernadine Quintana Mother) Samantha Gallegos (Sammy Blackbear), Gina Pidgeon (Josh Pidgeon), Melissa Gallegos (Daisy Cardenas), Vanessa Gallegos, Samuel Gallegos, and Lorenzo Gallegos (Denise Coreas). He also leaves behind a grand slam of 28 grandchildren, a great-grandchild, and a dugout full of cousins, aunts, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and friends.

Devan now joins his son Baby Devan Michael Peck Jr, his grandpa and grandma Peck, his godson Trenton Taylor, and his dear friend Paul Vigil in the big leagues of heaven.

Off the field, Devan crafted a winning career as a steel fabricator, leaving his mark on projects like the Kennecott bridge and the 49ers stadium. He'd proudly shared tales of his iron-clad accomplishments, making sure to steel the show with his wit and charm. Devan's high school education was a home run at South Park Academy.

Devan found solace and a spiritual seventh-inning stretch at St Martins de Porres, where he found comfort in the fellowship of his community.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made to the Huntsman Cancer Institute. Let's hit cancer out of the park!
