Debra Pollei Parry, 69, of West Jordan City, Utah, passed away peacefully on November 6, 2025, in the company of her two daughters, Kristi and Michelle. She was born on September 11, 1956, in Salt Lake City to Ralf and Thelma Pollei.
Debbie grew up in the Salt Lake area and attended Olympus High School, graduating with honors. She then went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education cum laude from Brigham Young University. Debbie married Melton Parry on June 21, 1983, in the Salt Lake Temple. She taught elementary education for over 35 years, and she enjoyed music, sports, reading, baking and going to the mountains with her family.
To know Debbie was to know service and love. Debbie had a spirit about her, most often shared through her musical talents, that would bring peace and comfort to those around her. Her enduring faith in the Gospel of Jesus Christ was most evident whenever she played the piano or organ for her church. She had a genuine smile that had a way of making acquaintances feel like lifelong friends.
Debra is survived by her two children, Kristi and Michelle (Zackery): siblings Ann (Sanford), Janice (John), and Kevin (Stephanie). She is preceded in death by her husband of over 20 years, Melton Parry; parents, Ralf and Thelma Pollei.
A visitation open to all will be held at an LDS Chapel, 4825 W. 7000 S. A funeral service will be held on Friday beginning at 11 am at the same location. Interment, West Jordan City Cemetery.
