Deborah Christensen

February 13, 1953 — October 20, 2022

Loving mom, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and Aunt Deb left this world suddenly on October 20, 2022. Born February 13, 1953 in Gunnison, Utah to Lois and Clark Elder.

Deb married Craig on April 9,1993. They were high school sweethearts, who went different ways in life, ultimately finding their way back to one another. Spending the better part of their lives together in love and happiness.

Deb lived her life for her family. She loved gathering with family as much as possible. Her door was always open to anybody, especially her family. There was not a subject or topic she would not listen to and help with. She never judged or criticized anybody in a negative manner, no matter the background, race, creed or preference. Deb just saw people. Anybody who had one of these conversations with her, will always remember her humanity and the beautiful purity of her heart and soul. She was known as mom, momma and grandma to many more people than her immediate family throughout her lifetime. A great many will remember, that a mother's love and love for a mother, extends past those ties by blood alone.

Deb faced a lot of hardships throughout her life. No matter the obstacle, she took it head on with a quiet determination and made the best of any situation. Her philosophy was " whatever it takes for the kids ". This would be a common theme throughout her life; often going without so her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren could have extra.

Deb will be missed by everyone that knew her, but more importantly, we will cherish her beautiful smile, her penchant for laughter, her love of food, her green thumb and fondness for gardening. We will admire her un-flinching dedication to her family, her strength, her simple grace, her humanity, and her ability to find so much joy from the little things in life.

Be free, Debbie. Shed the sorrows and pain of this earth. Spread your wings and fly high with your mom Lois. You are now an angel in heaven, as you were to so many here on earth.

Fly free, Mom.
