Corinne D'Ann Howick passed away June 13, 2026, at the age of 72, in her home with her daughter and sisters by her side. She was born in Salt Lake City to William and Mae Collings. She was the fifth of seven children and grew up in Magna. In 1971, she graduated from Cyprus High School and then attended Snow College. After completing two years of classes by 1973, she wasn't quite done but finally went back to school to earn her Associates degree in 2009.

In October 1975, she married Bill Cawley, later divorced. They had two beautiful daughters and enjoyed many adventures together camping and attending sporting events.

Throughout her life, she served faithfully as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She spent many years teaching in Primary as well as planning and executing the absolute best Girls Camps. Her most recent calling was a counselor in the Young Women presidency, and she was planning on attending camp this summer.

In June 2000, she married Steve Howick. They built a wonderful life together and enjoyed many camping trips and excursions to the family cabin in Fairview. Her favorite thing was hosting an annual Easter Egg Hunt at their house. They were married for nearly 25 years.

Corinne was a woman of many talents. She was able to mend just about anything and turn out a costume with hardly any notice. Her Thanksgiving rolls and pies were the best around. As soon as she knew her first grandchild was on the way, she learned how to crochet around a receiving blanket. She also took great pride in her yard and flower and vegetable gardens. Another of her talents was service. She was constantly thinking of others and doing anything she could for them. In her spare time, she also loved to read and enjoyed being with a great group of women in Book Club.

Her career spanned more than 40 years working at Publishers Press and Utah Retirement Systems. She officially retired in 2019 but hardly took a break and kept working part-time and tending her grandson a few days a week. Luckily, she did get a chance to travel in retirement and went to London, Italy, Hawaii, and a Church history road trip.

Corinne is survived by her daughter Victoria (Guy) Van Horn, son-in-law Brian (Tami) Cruz, daughters Natalie (Sam) Maafu, Angie (Stacy) Waggoner, and son Neil (Lindsey) Howick. Grandchildren Amelia, Ashley, Elliot, Micah, Benjamin, Caleb, Leah, Tori, Becky, Charlie, Tony, Chalese (Hosie), Isiah (Mele), Samantha (Mallory), Cody, Steven, Jo, Oakie, Emery and great grandchildren Ruby, Iris, and Kaleb. Siblings Kevin (VaLene) Collings, Linda (Jeff) Miller, Kerry (Carol) Collings, Chad (Sherrie) Collings, Lori (James) LaDue, and Shaun (Jeanell) Collings. She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Tamara Cruz, and husband Steve Howick.

A memorial service to honor Corinne's life will be held at the Constitution Ward Chapel, 2850 West 3835 South, West Valley City, Utah on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior. A luncheon will be served for family and close friends afterwards at the same location. Interment will occur at a later date at the Valley View Memorial Park.
