Colleen Davis Knecht

Colleen Davis Knecht passed away peacefully at home, May 17, 2020. Born May 21, 1939 to Mac and Afton Davis in Heber, Utah.

Mom worked at Simplex Time Recording for many years. Mom was a volunteer at St. Mark’s Hospital for 15 years until she could no longer do it. She loved being a volunteer – that was the highlight of her life.

Mom loved to shop, watch the game show channel, and she loved trivia games. She loved her family with all her heart and taught each and everyone of them to do the right thing.

She married the love of her life, Jim Knecht, on June 19, 1959 and they had 60 beautiful years together. They had three children:  David Swena, Karen Knecht Harris and Jimmy Knecht.

Colleen is survived by her daughter Karen Harris (Bill); grandchildren, Heidi (Nick) Roberts, Sara Laguna, Tracy Swena, Steven Swena; great-grandchildren, Tabor, Lory, Ryan, Danni Lynne, Jocelyn, Anastasia; and sister Gloria Montgomery.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband 61 days ago, Jim Knecht; parents, Mac and Afton Davis; brother Ron Davis; and sons Jimmy & David.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 21st, 1:00 p.m. at Utah Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park, 17111 South 1700 West, Bluffdale, Utah.
