Clyde Spencer

November 7, 1939 — April 23, 2023

Clyde Spencer, 83, passed away on April 23rd, 2023, in Sandy, UT.

Clyde Spencer was born on November 7th, 1939 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. He was adopted by Leo and Sarah Spencer.

Clyde married Betty on September 15th, 1967, and they were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on December 3rd, 1971. He loved his wife more than anything in the world and fell in love with her the moment he met her.  The couple had 3 children.

Clyde served an LDS mission to Australia, and then centered his life around the Church. He strived to serve as much as he could.

Clyde loved working on automobiles, and spending time with his family and friends. He had a huge passion for serving others, and was a big talker (once you got him started you had a hard time getting him to stop).  He had a huge heart, was most proud of his family, and loved bragging about them as much as he could. We also can't leave out how much he cherished his beloved cat, Winston, that he had for 17 years.

Clyde is survived by his daughter Penny Gorringe (Mike), sons Ryan Spencer and Rusty Spencer. He has 9 grandchildren - Chaz (Nicole), Alyssa, Jessica (Brady), Zack, Jazmin, Scott, Jonathon (Becca), Spencer, and Daniel Gorringe with 6 and a half great-grandchildren.

Clyde is preceded in death by Betty Spencer (spouse), Leo Spencer (father), Sarah Spencer (mother), and Zack Spencer (grandson).
