Clyde mark Spence a beloved son, brother and uncle returned to his Father in Heaven, on June 8, 2025.

Clyde was born on October 23, 1957, to Mark Squires and Wilma Hyer Spence in Garland, Utah.

He shared this birthday with his grandmother Hyer and nephew Mark.

He loved visits with his family, eating ( especially candy), wearing gloves, riding horses, listening to music, running and playing jokes on family members and staff.

He has many Gold Medals from Special Olympics for horsemanship skills and bowling.

Clyde is preceded in death by his father and mother; two sisters, Joyce Spence and Colleen McCraw. He is survived by his sisters Peggy Augustine of West Jordan, Utah, and DeAnn Nelsen) Sagez of Garland, Utah; two nieces and six nephews.

Clyde was a long- term resident of USDC. Of his family at the center, he is preceded in death by his roommate Cameron, Willie and James. He is survived by Craig David and OB.

We would like to express our gratitude to all the wonderful people at USDC who have lovingly cared for Clyde over the many years.

Most of us come to the earth to be Tested. A few special souls come to the earth to be Testers.
