Clyde McGuire

Clyde L. McGuire

Beloved Husband, Brother, Step Dad, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and Great Great Grandpa, Uncle and Friend passed away on December 17, 2022 at the age of 88, after a courageous battle with colon cancer with his beloved wife by his side.

Clyde was born in Daniels, Utah on March 9, 1934 to Bernard and Minnie McGuire. Clyde was the youngest of 10 children.

Clyde married Sharon Biles on November 22, 1986 in Las Vegas, Nevada which was the beginning of a life of many treasured moments and many adventures.

Clyde and Sharon loved to travel and were able to see much of the United States and a few Countries. They were able to go on cruises to Alaska, the Panama Canal, Hawaii and the Bahamas. Their most treasured adventures were their many camping trips in their RV with their family and friends.

Clyde loved the out-doors and you would always find him, weather permitting sitting in his Utah Utes lawn chair under the apple tree in his backyard with his precious dog Teddy at his side.

Clyde retired from Chevron Oil Company in 1995 where he made many friends.

Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bernard, Rupert (Etta Mar), Bert (Isabell), Bruce (Marcia), Fay (Merilyn; sisters, Laura (Irvin) Graham, Clara (ray) Anderson, Florence (Jay) Hiatt and LaRee Standing.

Clyde is survived by Wife, Step daughter Wendy (Robert) Jensen, Stepson Richard (Susannah) Call; grandchildren: Melissa (Ron) Burnett, Rebecca Jensen, Brooklyn (Jesus) Rodriguez, and Cody Call; great grandchildren: Brooke (Preston) Josie, Josiah Burnett, Kaden Burnett, Jameson Jensen, Khloee Jensen, Emiliano Rodriquez and Nevaeh Rodriquez and one great-great grandchild, Mae Josie.

Clyde is also survived by many, many friends who loved him dearly.

Clyde was the love of his wife's life and is now Soaring with the Eagles.

Special thanks to Caregiver Support Network for the loving care provided to Clyde in his final weeks. The family would like to express a very special thank you to Joleen Huber and Chris Ann Woods. You are incredible.

It was Glyde's wishes to be cremated and his ashes spread over the high Uinta's at a later date.

Memorial Services will be held at Salt Lake Christian Center, 4330 South 700 East, Salt Lake City, UT at 11:00 am on January 7, 2023.
