Clifford passed away peacefully at home April 4, 2026. 

He was born Jone 19, 1937, in Bedford, Indiana to Cornelius Garland and Myrtle Corder Garland. Clifford married his eternal companion, Carilyn Jane Garland, for time and all eternity on August 8, 1969, in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and a great friend to all he met. He enjoyed working in the temple, gardening, and riding his motorcycle.

He is survived by his kids Jeffrey (Jamee), Melissa (Gary), Jodi (Henry), and Wendy, grandchildren Devin, Chloe, Makenzee, Nik, Daphne, brother Earl, and many nieces, nephews, and priceless friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carolyn Jane, his parents, his brother Paul, and sisters Augusta, Lucille, and Phyllis.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 16, 2026, at 11 AM at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah. Family and friends may visit Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 6 - 8 PM, and again Thursday, 10 - 10:45 AM, also at McDougal Funeral Home.

Interment will be at West Jordan City Cemetery.
