In Loving Memory of Cindy Marie Edwards Taggart
June 11, 1959 - June 24, 2026
Cindy Marie Edwards Taggart, a woman full of fun, laughter, and an enchanting sense of wonder, passed away peacefully early in the morning on June 24, 2026.
Cindy's journey began in El Paso, Texas, before her family moved to Millcreek Utah, where she grew up. She graduated from Skyline High School and went on to pursue her passion for English at Brigham Young University, later earning a second degree in Teaching from the University of Utah.
To say Cindy loved teaching would be an understatement. It was her true calling. She possessed a rare and beautiful gift for making every person she met feel instantly accepted, valued, and seen. She channeled this deep empathy into her career, teaching special education for many years and later bringing her dedication and light to teaching in private learning institutions and within the prison system. She had a unique ability to find the magic and potential in everyone, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Beyond her professional life, Cindy was best known for her brilliant imagination and her ability to bring a sense of magic into everyday moments. She was inherently whimsical-finding poetry in the little things of life. Her joy was contagious, and her resilient, playful spirit was a gift to all who knew her.
Cindy is survived by her devoted husband, Terrell Taggart; her loving daughter, Spring Rain; and her two cherished grandsons, Ethan and Preston Ferrini, who will miss their grandmother's laughter and magic deeply.
