Christopher Marx

July 19, 1970 — August 31, 2025

Christopher Scott Marx born July 19, 1970 in Greenwich, Connecticut.

He is survived by his beloved companion Charlene Miller and their precious puppy Scarlett, stepbrother Valentin Sivyakov and stepmother Beverly Marx. He is also survived by his uncle Otto and aunt Elizabeth Marx; first cousins Deborah and Edward Marx, first cousins Heidi Cole Trenbath and Richard Trenbath; first cousins once removed Ethan and Gwendolyn Trenbath; godmother Janet Z. Burson, godchildren Hannah Estelle, William Mann, Grace Huber as well as countless family and friends who loved him. He is preceded in death by his mother Carolyn Cole Trenbath Marx, father Captain Henry E. Marx and brother Gregory Marx.

He grew up in Greenwich, Connecticut attending Greenwich Country Day school before his high school years attending Greenwich High School and Tabor Academy. He followed in his mother's footsteps attending Syracuse University, later earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration and always maintained his passion for hockey as a lifelong New York Rangers fan.

Scott was a curious fellow and had a passion for all things creative including collecting art and actively supporting art education through philanthropy. His passion for the musical arts was well known and he loved cultivating relationships with people. His zest for exploring and visiting friends and family enthralled many who followed his travels via his frequent social media posts.

In recent years his travels included navigating the eastern seaboard in his sailing vessel pirate ship "Pacifique", at times resembling a modern day Ernest Hemingway. He had a unique way of connecting with people from all walks of life, as if he was the conductor of an orchestra of relationships that performed the symphony of his life.

His final days were spent chasing that love of attending cultural events, socializing with friends and exploring the globe in high style.

He was a shooting star who burned bright for all to see. May he rest in peace.

A memorial service will be scheduled soon, with additional details to follow as plans are finalized.
