Charles Corey Timm (Gump)
Charles passed peacefully at his home with his family at the age of 68 on March 19, 2021 in Taylorsville, Utah.
Charles was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, July 2, 1952 to Charles F. Timm and Beverly J Gull. He was one of 3 children. His siblings are Rebecca and Deborah.
Charles joined the Army and served as a cook in Baumholder Germany during the Vietnam War. Throughout the years he worked as a diesel mechanic and hazardous waste clean up responder.
Charles married the love of his life Mary Elaine Stevens on April 7th, 1990, they have been married for 31 years and together they raised three children, Jennifer, Richard and Laurie. He is an awesome Father, he loves his kids very dearly and is an amazing Grandfather.
Charles had many animals throughout the years and loved them all. He loved being out in the desert, his favorite place to be is Callao, Utah. He really enjoyed looking for arrowheads and searching for old cabins. He loved spending time with the kids, especially teaching them to shoot and taking them fishing. Charles enjoyed relaxing with a good book and was rarely seen without one in his hands.
He is survived by his wife Elaine Timm; his siblings Deborah and Edwin “Lindy” Lindboom and Rebecca Litster; his children Jennifer and Richard Roeling, Richard and Caitlin Postlethwait, Laurie Dangerfield and Wade Wozab; 9 grandchildren: Corey, Breann, Matt, Todd, Lindsay, Hailie, Zion, Landen, Taylor and Savannah; and 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews
Charles is preceded in death by his father; and mother.
A viewing will be held at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah on Thursday, March 25th from 6pm-8pm. There will be a graveside service held in Callao, Utah on Saturday March 27th at 1pm.
